Entergy Mississippi Customers Get Rate Reduction Beginning in September

Customers of Entergy Mississippi, Inc. will see yet another rate reduction in the fall, this one due to lower-than-expected natural gas prices. Starting with the September billing cycle, typical residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will pay $101.81, approximately $6.50 less than is currently charged.

Entergy Texas Files to End Bid to Purchase Union Power Station Unit; Entergy New Orleans Positioned to Purchase the 495 MW Unit

Together with other parties, Entergy Texas, Inc. filed a motion today with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to dismiss the company's application requesting a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity for one of the four 495 MW generating units at the Union Power Station near El Dorado, Arkansas.
